This Privacy Policy explains what data MyRacingData collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the MyRacingData website, dashboard, and the telemetry capture app.
What we collect
Account data — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
Telemetry & session data — lap times, sector times, inputs, car/track, and other channels captured by the telemetry app from your sim while you choose to record.
Usage data — basic technical information (e.g. log and device data) needed to operate and secure the service.
We do not collect payment card numbers directly; if and when paid plans launch, payments are handled by a third-party processor.
How we use it
To provide the service — store and display your sessions, compute lap/sector analysis and coaching insights, and let you share laps via links you create.
To operate, secure, debug, and improve the product, and to communicate with you about your account.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the platform (e.g. hosting), and when you explicitly create a public share link for a session.
A shared session link exposes that session's telemetry and laps to anyone with the link — never your account details. You can revoke a share link at any time.
Retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete sessions, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data. Passwords are hashed; access is restricted to your authenticated account.
